Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Current back-to-back Stanley Cup champions, the Edmonton Oilers finished the 1985-86 NHL season first overall, with Wayne Gretzky, Jarri Kurri, Paul Coffey and Glenn Anderson all eclipsing the 100-point plateau. We have a team-signed stick from the squad, with this example most likely signed during training camp, with Ron Low present (Low played with the AHL’s Nova Scotia Voyageurs in 1985-86). A Victoriaville Ultra Glass model, “M. Rogers” has been blacked out over the upper shaft, with the stick issued to Mike Rogers, who only appeared in 8 games that season. Approx 27 have signed in mixed inks including HOFers Gretzky, Coffey, Anderson, Messier and Grant Fuhr, along with Napier, MacTavish, Huddy, Krushelnyski, Hunter, McClelland, Gregg, Semenko, Lowe, Tikkanen, Low and others. “PR” and “PSR” have also been handwritten over the reverse, with no issues for the signatures or stick, with the Gretzky displaying especially well.
