Winning gold with Team USA at the 2004 World Junior Championships, goaltender Al Montoya was the 6th overall selection at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, with appearances made for six different NHL clubs thus far. This photo-matched Canadiens jersey was worn by the Chicago native throughout the 2016-17 NHL season. A “Goalie Style” label and “58” size tag are affixed to the collar just below an affixed “1”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with “35” in tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Montoya” across the nameplate in single blue twill. The jersey also features the NHL 100th anniversary patch, situated over the right sleeve. The team patch numbered “A04545” sits on the inside hem, while a hologram numbered “GU11990” has been affixed to the second reverse number, with an LOA with both numbers matching to accompany from the Canadiens.
A few dark marks encompass the team crest, with additional marks over each sleeve including a large and thick stick mark near the right elbow. Getty Image #631301360 from Jan 7, 2017, has been matched to the two black marks in the middle portion of the left sleeve, and to a portion of the long black mark on the right sleeve, while Getty Image #638755486, from Jan 11, 2017, has been matched to the long big mark below the Centennial patch, to the blue loose thread on the bottom of the "3" on the same sleeve and to the red loose thread in the top right edge area. Lastly, 2017 Getty Image #638483952 (also from Jan 11, 2017) has been matched to the long big mark below the Centennial patch.
