Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

After seeing seven games with the Canadiens in 1998-99, Asham pushed even harder the next season to stick with the team and the evidence of that effort shows with this sweater! Offered here is a 1999-00 Pro Player red road game-used rookie-era Montreal Canadiens jersey and it features the NHL 2000 patch which all clubs wore that year. The multiple puck marks on the front torso of this jersey is only the tip of the iceberg as the arms are almost threadbare in places! On the left, there is a puck mark on the number four and plenty of pilling, but there are multiple board burns in the elbow area to go with numerous holes that give this jersey incredible character. We are not done, though, as there is a small burn on the left shoulder. As we move to the right arm, the number 4 has a black mark while the number 5 has some red paint transfer. Larger black marks appear to the right of the 4 and to the left of the 5 as well. Moving down to the elbow and cuff, there more burns and holes to show what Asham put this jersey through. There is no sizing tag on this jersey and the white tag on the collar has lost some of its text through washing. At the bottom hem on the back, there is a large Pro Player logo along with the NHL shield. Obtained directly from the Canadiens, a LOA from the team signed by Rejean Houle will accompany.
