Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Three Hall of Famers listed in the title here highlight this group of PSA-encapsulated C55s, with the legendary Newsy Lalonde, depicted in his Montreal Canadiens sweater, leading in terms of importance and condition. The #42 card of Lalonde is graded VG-EX 4, the same as the rookie card of Renfrew goaltender Bert Lindsay (#21), father of HOFer Ted Lindsay. Meanwhile, Montreal Wanderer goalie 32-Riley Hern and 6-Tom Dunderdale are housed in holders labeled Good 2, with Dunderdale scoring more goals than any other player in the history of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association, starring for teams in Victoria and Portland. Four of the remaining five cards are considered rookie cards, with 12-Hamby Shore and 26-Skein Ronan at Good 2 and 22-Larry Gilmour and 40-"Rocket" Power at PR 1. Completing is 3-Barney Holden at FR 1.5. Perfect for those not requiring high grade examples, these relics still display wonderful colors, as well as thought-provoking images of men who competed in the National Hockey Association.
