This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Finishing in a 14-all tie, the 1961 Grey Cup was decided in overtime, with MVP Kenny Ploen scoring the winning touchdown. This Winnipeg Blue Bombers Grey Cup Championship ring was most likely produced as a sample. Size 10 ½” with an approx. weight of 19 grams, a gorgeous blue stone sits centralized, encompassed by “Winnipeg Football Club”. Both shanks feature “1961” above, with “Grey Cup Champions” on one side along with a CFL logo on the other. Stamped "10K" with the Balfour (Canadian) logo nearby on the inside band, "183 L" is also stamped on the inside band. Just light wear from use is present, with light scratches on the outside of the band, along with some dirt inside grooves. An LOA will accompany this gorgeous ring.
