Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
It was a brief but very productive stay for Wayne Gretzky with the St. Louis Blues. Traded to the Blues by L.A. on Feb. 27, 1996, The Great One teamed up with Brett Hull and generated 21 points in 18 regular season games, then posted 16 points in 13 games in the playoffs, which were cut short when the Blues lost a seven-game heartbreaker to Detroit in the second round. Wayne’s silver paint pen autograph sits in the middle of the left “9” on the back of this Blues home white jersey, which has UDA and Sports Memorabilia hologram stickers affixed to the bottom of the signed number. The jersey, which comes with a UDA COA, is mounted along with a Gretkzy Blues 8x10 photo in a huge 42” x 47” frame.
The UDA COA states: “Wayne Gretzky Autographed Authentic White CCM St. Louis Blues Jersey: This authentic CCM jersey is autographed by Wayne Gretzky. Gretzky’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process. This item is not limited.”
