Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Not as successful as he hoped to be, Wayne Gretzky’s time coaching in Phoenix lasted four seasons, compiling a record of only 143 wins in 328 games played between 2005 and 2009. This lot contains a beautiful signed and framed “Gretzky” Coyotes jersey. A CCM model, the jersey features dual-colour tackle twill numbers and crescent moon patches over each shoulder, along with “Gretzky” across the nameplate. Wayne has signed across the bottom of the second “9” in silver, and the signature displays well. Framed to total dimensions of roughly 32 ¼” x 40 ¼”, the jersey has come loose from the nylon wires above, sliding down in the frame. We should also note that the frame itself suffers from a few abrasions and marks. An LOA from JSA, along with a second LOA will accompany.
