Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
St. Louis Blues gamers used by the Great One are a rarer find thanks to Wayne Gretzky’s shortlived tenure wearing the Bluenote. Wayne’s signed 1995-96 Blues Easton Aluminum 5100 game-used playoffs stick has “Gretzky” factory printed high on the shaft below his original foam gripper knob. Gretz’s bold blue marker autograph sits on the toe of the Easton wood blade insert that displays the “Gretzky” stamp and retains his original tape job. “TOR P-11” black marker notation on the butt end denotes this gamer was the 11th stick he used during the playoffs in the Conference quarter-finals vs. Toronto. Game wear shows in black marks on the blade insert and marks and scratches on the shaft.
