Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Ready to make a large table hockey game display, this collection of 13 table top hockey games ranges from the 1930s to late-1960s, with the biggest manufacturers represented, including Munro, Gotham and others. Highlighted by a rarely-seen 1930s “Hockey-ette” game in its original box (8” x 11”, heavy wear to the box with including separations/splits), there are also two 1930s Gotham G-200 hockey games (each has slightly differing surface graphics, with heavy wear over each surface, with neither operational) with players intact, with one example accompanied by its original box. Next, we have a 1930s Munro wooden table top game (light to moderate wear, with an original ball bering included), a desirable Foster Hewitt table top game from the 1950s (12” x 24”, with moderate wear and broken referees), a Hockey Forum card game from the late-1960s (6” x 8”, originally sold in Quebec, heavy wear to the box, unsure if complete), and 1950s Race on Skates (8” x 18”, David Lord) and National Hockey League (11” x 18 ½”, Parker Bros) board games (heavy wear to each box, unsure if complete). There are also a trio of pressed steel hockey games, including by Superior Toy (8” x 14”), Pressman Toy Corp (12 ½” x 24”) and Eagle Toys (Montreal Canadiens game with cardboard backing, 15” x 23”), with moderate to heavy wear to each. Rounding out the lot, we have a pair of full size Original Six table top games from the late-1960s produced by Eagle Toys with each accompanied by their original box, including Pro Hockey and Hockey Stars (heavy wear to both games and boxes). Please note that due to the size and or weight of this lot, shipping costs may be substantial.
