From the immortal Summit Series, we have a pair of commemorative Sterling silver coins in their original display cases. At 2” in diameter, the silver coins features crossed Canadian and Russian flags embossed atop a laurel wreath with “Hockey Canada 1972”. This central image is flanked by “Canada vs. USSR” engraved on each side. The reverse features an embossed image of two generic players chasing after a puck, one representing each country. Stamped “Sterling” along the edge, there are also three additional hallmarks along with the edition serial number on each (01351 & 00459). Weight is 2.32 ounces per coin. Both are in excellent condition with clean surfaces and just light scratching to the reverse. Each coin is accompanied by its original navy display box with details listed on each lid.
