Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A season that witnessed Terry Sawchuk secure both his 99th and 100th career shutouts, the Toronto Maple Leafs would finish third at the conclusion of the 1966-67 NHL season, and after taking out Chicago, Toronto would defeat a heavily-favoured Montreal squad in six games to claim hockey’s greatest prize. One of the most desirable Leafs programs in the hobby, we have a copy for the Cup-clinching Game 6 that brought the Blue and White their thirteenth and most recent Stanley Cup championship, with this specimen made even more desirable by the signatures present from approx 24 Leafs including deceased HOF legends Terry Sawchuk, Tim Horton, King Clancy, Johnny Bower, Marcel Pronovost, Allan Stanley, Punch Imlach and Red Kelly.
The additional signers include HOF members Keon, Mahovlich and Bob Pulford, along with Ellis, Pappin, Jeffrey, Conacher, Shack, Hillman, Smith, Davidson and a few others. The signatures have all been executed in blue ballpoint, with three placed on the cover including Horton, with the remaining examples spread over a few pages including the line-up page which is detached. The program itself otherwise exhibits moderate handling wear, with a few creases, spine wear and surface indentations.
