Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
One of Canada's oldest and most storied baseball teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs played in the International League for most of the franchise's existence, and we offer a collection of Leafs memorabilia highlighted by a rare 1907 real photo team postcard. Included, we have 8" x 10" team photos from 1934, 1950s?, 1955, 1964, 1965 (2, one is a black & white slightly later copy, the other, a modern colour print), and 1966, three small signed snapshot photos with Hank Biasatti, Stan Lopata and one other, late-1940s team-issued photos including Ed Sanicki, Johnny Weaj, Lou Heyman, Skippy Roberge, Max Peterson, Bubba Church, Frank Rossi and Alex Mustaikis, a pair of Molson premiums for Loren Babe, 1901 team photo cutout glued to a backing, a 1960 Leafs year book (scored), two Turofsky photos, five Leafs postcards including four showing the Leafs stadiums (Hanlan's Point, Canadian National Exhibition) and the 1907 real photo team card which shows light wear, with writing on the reverse. Also included in the lot, are Leafs newspaper cutouts from the late-1800s/early-1900s (12, including Ed Barrow, Lewis Carr and Frank Bonner) and from the 1930s/40s (28). This is part of a large group of early Maple Leafs material in this auction all hailing from a longtime collector.
