Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Finishing the regular season in second place behind the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Maple Leafs would first meet the New York Rangers in the 1961-62 NHL playoffs, before taking out the Chicago Black Hawks in six games to claim the Stanley Cup. Originating from the incomparable autograph collection of E. Robert Hamlyn, we have a photo that has been team-signed by 22 and which includes deceased HOFers Punch Imlach, Tim Horton, King Clancy, Allan Stanley and Red Kelly along with HOFers George Armstrong, Dave Keon and Frank Mahovlich. The 8” x 10” glossy black and white photo has a Turofsky stamp on its back and exhibits some corner wear, including a fine crease to each upper corner, but overall remains in nice condition. The majority of the signatures are in blue ballpoint and display nicely.
The additional signers include Carl Brewer, Larry Hillman, Bob Nevin, Ed Litzenberger, Bobby Baun, Eddie Shack, Don Simmons, John MacMillan, Ron Stewart, Billy Harris, Dick Duff , trainers Tommy Naylor and Bob Haggert and Kent Douglas who started with the Leafs in 1962-63.
