A participant of the infamous "Punch-up in Piestany" at the 1987 World Junior Hockey Championships, Theoren Fleury would compete in 15 NHL seasons throughout his career, with additional time spent with Team Canada after turning pro, including winning a gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics. A point-per-game player who posted 1,088 points in 1,084 National Hockey League contests with the likes of Calgary, Colorado, New York and Chicago, offered here is this Blackhawks jersey worn by Fleury during the 2002-03 pre-season in what would end up being his lone season in the Windy City as well as his final NHL season. Made by Koho, both "Made in Canada" and size "54" labels are affixed to the inner collar while a Koho logo patch has been added over the reverse hem. Having had the NHL shield embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Blackhawks Indian head team crest that displays with beautifully done chain-stitched embroidery details. Also having had matching crossed tomahawk alternate logo patches added atop of both shoulders which also sport similar chain-stitched details, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Theo's number "14" in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill numerals while "Fleury" has been spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Sporting no team tagging on the interior but retaining the fight strap, the jersey shows game-wear via stick marks over the lower front and lower reverse while board burns are present in the same areas as well. Also displaying a small stick mark over the right sleeve, the jersey comes accompanied by an LOA from J&J Distributing.
Of note, due to washings, the white areas of the sleeves and body have turned a light pink colour due to bleeding.
