Receiving his first of eight All-Star selections in 1948, Ted Lindsay would reach the 100 career-goal plateau the following campaign, in 1948-49. Scoring the milestone marker in a 6-4 victory over Chicago on Feb 2, 1949, Lindsay would score a hat trick in the noteworthy match, and we offer the team-signed puck used by the legend to plot his 100th career goal. An Official Art Ross Tyer model NHL puck, "100 goal in National League, (Feb?) (not legible) 1949 Olympia, (not legible) Chicago 6-4" has been handwritten in white above the logo, with the reverse signed by 19 in matching white including Lindsay, as well as fellow HOFers Abel, Howe, Kelly, Lumley, Stewart, Quakenbush, Ivan and Jack Adams, along with Couture, Horeck, Pavelich, McNab, Gee, Sclisizzi, Reise, Gauthier, Fogolin and Carl Mattson (trainer). The signatures display well, with a layer of shellac added to the puck which has somewhat “lifted” the ink, giving the signatures a raised, embossed appearance. An LOA from the Lindsay family will accompany, and we should note that team-signed pucks from the era are practically non-existent in the hobby, especially examples that also serve as milestone goals.
