Featuring the highest combination of points and PIM for the Detroit Red Wings during just his third NHL season, Ted Lindsay contributed 42 points including 27 goals to the Red Wings cause in 1946-47. This trophy was presented to the superstar as the Motor City MVP by the Detroit Hockey Writers Association, and it originates from his personal collection. At 16” in height and featuring a generic mounted player over a tiered wooden base, a second mounted player originally resided over the lower base (now detached but present), with a plaque affixed with engraved details including “Ted Lindsay”, Most Valuable Player”, "Detroit Red Wings” and “1946-47”. There is light wear present including to the mounted player and engraved plaque, with an LOA to accompany from the Lindsay family.
