Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Hundreds of frosted glass panels form a massive wall at the rear of the Great Hall in Toronto's Hockey Hall of Fame. Two identical panels are produced, one for the wall and the other to give to the honoured member. The dual-pane glass measures 12" x 12" and features a great image of Ted Kennedy, listing (both in English and in French) his most important career accomplishments and informing the uninformed that Kennedy was the Leafs' leader and team captain for eight seasons and also that he was one of the game's best face-off men. The classy piece indicates Teeder's induction year of 1966 and verbiage at the bottom describes that the panel was presented to Kennedy in 1993. In gorgeous, near mint condition. Obtained from the family of former Leafs' captain Ted Kennedy, complete with their signed letter of provenance.
