Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
On top of the hockey world yet again in 2004 with their victory over the Finns at the World Cup, Team Canada would also claim the following World Cup championship in 2016, defeating an all-star squad labeled Team Europe. We have a 2004 Team Canada World Cup replica jersey that originates from the Pens and Devils long-time massage therapist Tommy Plasko, and it’s been signed by members of that championship team. A Nike model with labeling present along with point-of-sale tags, the solid red jersey has been styled with a wonderful Team Canada crest, along with matching vintage-style alternate crests over each shoulder. Approx. 30 have signed across the front in marker including HOFers Brodeur, Lemieux, Sakic and Niedermayer, along with St. Louis, Luongo, Iginla, Lacavalier and others.
The jersey remains in wonderful condition, with just some minor bleeding to the signatures. Others who have signed include Theodore, Brewer, Foote, Redden, Regehr, Doan, Draper, Gagne, Heatley, Maltby, Marleau, Morrow, Richards, Smyth, Thornton and more. We should also note that Team Canada massage therapist Tommy Plasko’s name is present on a sticker that has been affixed to a tag, with the jersey (previously mentioned) originating from his personal collection.
