Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

A three-time NHL All-Star, Steve Shutt was selected for the Second All-Star team in 1978, with that season’s best-on best showcase especially memorable for the Willowdale native, assisting on Gilbert Perreault's overtime goal to give the Wales Conference a 3-2 victory. This NHL All-Star Wales Conference jersey was worn by Shutt in that very contest. Featuring a large and clean NHL shield crest with embroidered detailing, the durene V-neck sports additional shields over both breasts and shoulders, with each sleeve adorned with a white star adhered between the dual-colour striping bands, with another half dozen matching examples evenly spaced across the front and reverse lower band. “8” appears over the sleeves and verso in orange-over-black tackle twill, with “Shutt” in reversed black letters with orange trim, placed directly over the upper reverse in individual letters. Originally from Shutt’s personal collection, a signed LOA from the Hall of Fame member will accompany.
Remaining in absolutely gorgeous condition with especially vibrant colours, there are a few small and faint marks visible beneath the collar and team crest, with a very minimal bit of yellow discolouration over the shoulder, with this barely visible, and mentioned for the strictest accuracy.
