Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
The first goalie in NCAA history to record 100 career victories, Steve Shields spent 4 seasons with the U. of Michigan, later appearing for six NHL clubs including Boston, Buffalo, Atlanta and Florida. This Panthers jersey was worn by the Toronto native in 2003-04. “Goalie Style” labeling sits along the collar, with embroidered KOHO and NHL crests (2) over the back neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with the familiar “pouncing” panther team crest, the navy V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. The garment also sports a custom-lengthened hem. Game-wear on the “Blue 2nd Regular Season” sweater is light, with just a few marks present over the lower front striping band and on the right sleeve’s numbers. The team patch sits on the inside hem along with a MeiGray crest numbered “B03396”, with a matching LOA to accompany.
