Hall of Fame goaltender Vladislav Tretiak is among the 11 members of the 1972 Soviet national team that have signed this framed black and white team photo. It was an unforgettable year for the Soviets as they won Olympic gold in Sapporo before losing dramatically to Team Canada at the Summit Series. At 10” x 14” and on glossy stock, Mikhailov, Maltsev and Tretiak have signed in black marker on the lower portion of the photograph, while Lutchenko, Petrov, Romishevsky, Shadrin, Yakushev, Vasiliev, Blinov and Gusev have all placed silver paint pen autographs above their images along the top section, with each signature displaying beautifully. One of the greatest hockey teams ever assembled, the modern signed print is double-matted and framed to approx 18” x 22”, with a name plaque inserted beneath. A COA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
