Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Widely considered the best in the game today, Sidney Crosby is now a veteran of almost 1,000 regular-season NHL contests, with numerous accolades and awards garnered including the Art Ross, Hart Memorial and Conn Smythe, along with a trio of Stanley Cup championships. This lot includes a signed Pittsburgh Penguins captain’s jersey along with a trio of framed displays with two signed. First, the jersey was produced by Reebok with “XL” sizing along with a tackle twill team crest and numbers, with Crosby signing the reverse “7” in black marker, with the signature displaying beautifully. A hologram from Frameworth has been affixed, with a matching COA to accompany. The three framed displays include two that are signed (one has a COA), with the 2008 Winter Classic frame unsigned.
The framed displays include a large example featuring Sid in his Penguins uniform, signed in gold with a Frameworth hologram added, framed to 25” x 40”, while the second signed frame features Crosby with Rimouski, with an 8” x 10” photo along with a plaque, pins and inserted card. Crosby has signed in blue marker, with just some light fading to the signature, framed to 15 ½” x 22”. The last frame is unsigned and pictures the superstar during the 2008 Winter Classic, framed to 17” x 21”.
