Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
The two greatest players ever to don the jersey of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby have both led the club to multiple Stanley Cup championships, with each securing Art Ross Trophies as the NHL point’s leader. This lot offers a stick signed by Lemieux, accompanied by a framed photo display signed by Crosby. First, the stick is a KOHO Revolution model in Pens colours, with “Lemieux” factory graphics, with Mario adding a large and gorgeous black marker signature across the front side of the blade. The Crosby display features an 8” x 10” image of Sid in game-action, with a pin above and line drawing of the Mellon Arena below, with Crosby adding a nice gold marker signature, double-matted and framed to approx 19 ¼” x 19 ¼” (no glass). The stick remains in beautiful condition with no issues, with a bit of wear to the Crosby display including a small tear to the matte. A hologram has been added to the blade of the Lemieux stick with a COA from the Penguins to accompany, while the Crosby display has a Frameworth hologram affixed numbered “011496”, with a COA to accompany.
