This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Currently playing in the 19th season of his National Hockey League career, Sidney Crosby, a veteran of over 1200 NHL games, has filled his trophy case with numerous awards including a trio of Stanley Cup championships, a pair of Olympic gold medals, two (2) Art Ross Trophies, two (2) Hart Trophies, and two (2) Conn Smythe Trophies along with many others. A surefire first ballot Hockey Hall of Fame inductee once he concludes his storied career, offered here is this framed display of "Sid the Kid" that features a blade from one one of Crosby's game-used sticks. Measuring out to full dimensions of 21 3/4" x 17 3/4" and featuring three (3) 4" x 6" action photos of Crosby in the upper portion of the piece that are displayed under both black and yellow mattes, a Sher-Wood branded blade from a stick used by Crosby during the early portion of his career, the black coloured blade is covered by his original black tape job what shows a few marks and abrasions while a Frameworth hologram is affixed to the toe. With "Sidney Crosby - Game-Used Stick Blade" etched into a piece of black matte near the top of the piece, a Penguins lapel pin has been added to the bottom. With the frame remaining in excellent condition and showing just very light wear to the edges and corners, a Frameworth COA is housed in an envelope on the back of frame.
