Selected as an All-Star forward at the 1986 IIHF World Junior Championships, Shayne Corson first donned the mighty maple leaf with the juniors in 1985, and would represent his nation throughout his career, including at the World Championships and Winter Olympics. From his only appearance at the Canada Cup in 1991, we offer a stick used by Corson that has been team-signed by Team Canada. A Victoriaville Ultra Vic 4050 model with “S Corson” stamped and “Team Canada ‘91” handwritten, the stick retains the original black tape over the blade and red on the handle, with “646-9” handwritten in pencil along the top side shaft. Sporting moderate game-use with wear to the taped section of blade including a loose strand, approx 22 have signed one side of the shaft in mixed inks including Belfour, Coffey, Tinordi, Graham, Murphy and others, with many of the signatures faded and others hard to decipher. Originally from the collection of Mike Keenan, an LOA will accompany.
