Playing his college hockey as part of the University of Wisconsin–Madison Badgers program between 1988 and 1991, Sean Hill would be drafted 167th overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 1988 NHL Entry Draft and go on to play a total of 876 games over the course of his National Hockey League career, winning a Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1993. Made by CCM and sporting both Maska Ultrafil and size "54" labels affixed to the inner collar, the logos of both CCM and the NHL have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the jersey with Montreal's famed "CH" team crest that has been administered in layered tackle twill style, the Stanley Cup centennial patch that was worn by all the league's team's throughout the season (Montreal started wearing it after the 1993 NHL All-Star Game, which they hosted and wore the patch of during the first half of the year) has been added over the right breast and shows a few popped seams along the bottom edge. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Hill's number "38" in dual layer white-over-blue tackle twill numerals, "Hill" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Displaying overall light game-wear, board burns and small unrepaired cuts are observed over the left sleeve while a couple of small stick marks are found over the right sleeve. Additionally, light thread fraying is present on the interior also.
