Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Spending five seasons in the OHL with Erie and London during the late-1990s, defenceman Sean Dixon was selected by Montreal at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. This Canadiens jersey was worn by the Waterloo native during pre-season and/or training camp in the late-1990s. A Starter label is affixed to the collar along with embroidered Starter and NHL crests over the reverse hem, with the garment measuring-out to roughly a size 54. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “29” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Dixon” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. A size swatch of “54 R” also resides on the inside hem. We should further note that the jersey originates from the Habs 1998-99 set, and was possibly worn previously by Brett Clark that season. Sporting dark marks over the sleeves along with larger examples near the team crest and on the reverse, there are also burns over the left elbow as well as traces of blue paint transfer, with pilling to the interior sleeves. An LOA from the Montreal Canadiens will accompany.
