The third NHL tenants to sport a California zip code, the San Jose Sharks iced their inaugural NHL line-up in 1991-92, with six Pacific Division titles won along with advancing to the 2016 Stanley Cup finals. This lot contains a great Sharks postcard, signed photo and limited-edition program card collection ranging from the first season in 1991-92, to 2005-06, with approx 253 postcards, 16 signed first-season promotional photos and 55 program cards (50 hail from the first season), for a grand total of approx 324 postcards, program cards and signed promotional photos. The breakdown for the items in the group is as follows. 1991-92 – 16 promotional first-season player photos signed including Falloon, Bozek, Berezan, Kisio and others, 1991-92 – 37 first-season blank-backed postcards with 8 signed including Falloon, Irbe (signed), Wilson, Hayward (signed) and others, 1991-92 – 50 first-season limited-edition program cards including “First Face-Off”, mid-1990s – 102 postcards with 12 signed including Iafrate (signed), Larionov (signed), Makarov (2 – both signed) and others, 1998-99 – 30 blank-backed postcards including Marleau, Vernon, Suter and others, 1999-00 – 32 blank-backed postcards including Ricci, Sutter, Damphousse and others, 2001-02 – 18 blank-backed postcards with 2 signed including Marchment (signed) and Kiprusoff (signed), 2003-04 – 24 blank-backed postcards with including 1 signed (Parker), 2005-06 – 10 blank-backed postcards with 4 signed including Toskala (signed), Marleau (signed), and coach Tim Hunter (signed). There are also 5 2005-06 program cards with each signed (Marleau, Bernier, Cheechoo, Davidson and Michalek) along with a few additional items. The overwhelming majority of the items remain in beautiful condition with minimal wear, with most of the signatures on the signed examples displaying well with no issues.
