Nominated for the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie in 2011-12, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins spent the NHL lock-out of 2012-13 with the AHL’s Oklahoma City Barons before rejoining the Oilers, where he scored 20 points in just 19 contests. This signed Barons jersey was worn by the star during the lock-out of 2012-13, and it’s accompanied by his signed Barons helmet, signed gloves and a canvas display. First, the jersey sports a Reebok label and size “56” tag affixed to the collar, with Reebok and AHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled in Oilers colours, the team crest is textured with embroidered detailing, with “18” over the sleeves and verso in tri-colour tackle twill, with an Edmonton Oilers crest over the right shoulder. A COA from the Barons will accompany for the jersey.
Nugent-Hopkins has signed the reverse “8” of the jersey in white, with the signature blending into the background material. The helmet is a CCM model in solid white with a team decal on one side and “Hertz” sponsorship sticker on the other, with “18” on the lower reverse along with an AHL decal. The visor is gone, with moderate game-use exhibited including numerous scratches to the surface along with a few forehead cuts near the CCM logo. Nugent-Hopkins has added a blue sharpie signature to the top section. The gloves are solid blue CCM Pro models with “18” handwritten to each palm, with moderate use shown with Nugent-Hopkins signing the right glove over the wrist guard. The stretched canvas is 18” x 18”, and pictures Nugent-Hopkins with the Barons. It should also be noted that Getty has numerous images showing Nugent-Hopkins with the Barons, with the helmet and gloves both the correct models (the Hertz decal on the helmet can be seen in images).
