Affectionately known by his nickname "Doc", Roy Halladay would pitch a total of 16-years in the Major Leagues after being selected 17th overall by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 1995 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft. Spending the first twelve (12) years of his career with the team that drafted him, compiling a record of 148-76 before being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, Halladay would continue his dominant ways by hurling both a perfect game and a postseason no-hitter during the 2010 season, the first time in Major League history the feat had been accomplished. A two-time Cy Young Award winner and inducted posthumously into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019, offered here is this Toronto Blue Jays jersey worn by Halladay for a portion of the 2000 MLB season. A vest style worn during select home games that was made by Majestic, the company's jocktag is sewn over the lower front left side along with a size "48" fly tag while a player/year/set swatch in the same style of material as the jersey is sewn inside the inner collar that reads "32 00 2". Decorated over the front of the jersey with "Blue Jays" in individually applied dual layer dark blue-over-light blue tackle twill letters, a Blue Jays team crest that features embroidered details have been added underneath on the left side. Sporting an MLB crest over the reverse neckline, "Halladay" is spelt out in letters matching the ones over front across the top of the back while his number "32" has been added as well, once again in matching style numbers. Twice signed by Halladay, once over each side, in black marker ink, both signatures display without issue and the jersey displays with good game-wear including some light soiling, stains and marks over the exterior on both sides that is heaviest near the hem while some loose threads, fraying and light pilling is seen on the interior, with the majority around the collar and between the numbers on the reverse.
