Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Notable as the first player in NHL history to win the Conn Smythe Trophy will playing for the losing team in the Stanley Cup finals, Roger Crozier was also a Calder Memorial Trophy winner in 1966, only the fifth Red Wing to ever win the prestigious award. We have a stick used by the Bracebridge native circa 1970-71. A Victoriaville Pattern Made Pro model, “Crozier” appears on the upper shaft along with stamps on both sides from Mailhot & Freres, with the stick retaining its original tape over the blade, paddle, and knob. The striping stickers over the paddle and handle remain intact but show loss, with both nearly detached.
Thorough use is exhibited on the desirable stick, with wear to the underside of the blade including a small chip, along with additional wear to the paddle and lower shaft.
