Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Seeing action in three games at the famed Summit Series in 1972, Rod Seiling also enjoyed a successful campaign in the NHL with the New York Rangers that year, helping the team advance to the Stanley Cup finals in 1972. This stick was used by the Elmira native at the 1972 Canada-Russia Series. A Sher-Wood Tex-n-Wrap model with "Seiling" and "16" stamped to the upper shaft, the original spiral tape job remains on the knob and three-strand pattern to the blade, with a date stamp to the lower underside of "7 JUL 1972". Light to moderate use is shown on the lumber, with a few puck and stick marks to the lower shaft and blade. There is also wear to the taped handle.
