A first-round draft choice of the Buffalo Sabres at the 1977 NHL amateur draft, Ric Seiling spent the majority of his decade-long career in Buffalo, and represented Detroit during his last NHL season. This Red Wings jersey was worn by the Elmira native during his lone season in Motor City, in 1986-87. Measuring-out to a size 50 and with no tagging remaining along the collar, Eastside and CCM crests appear heat-pressed and embroidered respectively on the reverse hem. Styled with the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, “16” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single white twill, with “Seiling” in individual letters affixed directly to the upper reverse. Sporting heavier game-use with stick marks, material pulls and scrapes over the front and sleeves, there are also burns over each elbow section along with team repairs on the front (2) and sleeves (5).
