From the season he registered a career high 96 points, we have a “Three Star Award” trophy that was presented to superstar Ray Bourque by the Bruins Radio Network, in 1983-84. At approx 12” in height and featuring a generic mounted player serving as finial over an approx 8” wide domed silver bowl, the bowl is mounted to a finished black wooden base, with the wider bottom tier approx 5 ½” x 5 ½”. A plaque with the particulars engraved has been affixed to the front of the base, including “Bruins Radio Network”, “Three Star Award” and “Ray Bourque – 1983-84”. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany this attractive award. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
The trophy displays nicely, with tarnishing over the silver bowl, with no issues for the mounted player. There is also some additional wear to the wooden base including some chipping/surface loss over the back left corner.
