Winning three straight James Norris Trophy’s from 1963-65 as the league’s best defenceman, Pierre Pilote would play 890 games in the NHL, with all but 69 matches played with the Chicago Black Hawk, winning a Stanley Cup with the Windy City club in 1961. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1975 and having had his numbered "3" retired by the Blackhawks in 2008, offered here is this collection of NHL Alumni jerseys worn by Pilote at various events after the conclusion of his National Hockey League career. Including NHL Oldtimers, Chicago "Labatt's Original Six" and Zellers "Master's of Hockey", the earliest of the trio is the NHL Oldtimers examples, decorated over the front with "NHL Oldtimers" in dual layer tackle twill letters, the Cooper made example sports a brand label affixed to the inner collar that displays a size "Extra Large" designation. Accented over the reverse with "Pilote" spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate, the number "5" appears below it in a style matching the letters over the front. Showing good wear and including the matching game socks that show wear via stick marks, paint marks, stains, holes and repairs, the jersey shows wear via staining throughout, stick marks over the front and pilling on the interior. Next, the Chicago "Labatt's Original Six", matching closely in style with Chicago's game jerseys, the Rawlings made offering shows a size "L" label affixed to the inner collar while the Rawlings logo is seen over the reverse hem. Sporting a sublimated and velvet "Chicago" crest over the front as well as the captain's "C" over the left breast, "Labatt's Original Six Hockey Heroes" patches have been added over both sleeves while "Pilote" and his number "3" have been added over the reverse in single layer black twill letters and numbers. Showing just light wear, stick marks are observed over the body and sleeves as well as some minor spot stains. Finally, for the Zellers "Master's of Hockey" jersey, accompanied by matching socks, the Bauer made example with a size "L/XL" label affixed to the inner collar features a red, yellow and blue star design over the body and a Zellers "Master's of Hockey" logo sublimated into the material over the left breast. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Pilote's number "3" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Pilote" is spelt out across the upper reverse in dual layer tackle twill letters. Showing light wear, stains are present over the body and shoulders. Hailing from his personal collection, a Pilote Family LOA will accompany the lot.
