Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

Competing in four Winter Olympics, two World Cups and five World Championships, Peter Forsberg was arguably the premier European superstar during his NHL tenure, with the Art Ross and Hart Memorial trophies both won in 2003. Hailing from his first season in 1994-95, one that witnessed the Swede claim the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie, we have a photo-matched Quebec Nordiques jersey worn by Forsberg during his inaugural campaign. A Maska label sits affixed to the collar, with a size “56” tag placed adjacently. Styled with a tackle twill Nords team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with “21” over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with blue fleur-de-lis placed over the lower front, reverse and shoulders. The fight strap remains intact, with an LOA to accompany this desirable Peter Forsberg rookie sweater.
A number of dark stick marks are present over the lower front, with additional dark marks over each sleeve. There is also some red paint transfer on the upper left sleeve, with a large L-shaped team repair over the lower front, with additional linear repairs over each sleeve.
