Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

The late Pelle Lindbergh was entering the prime of his All-Star NHL career with the Philadelphia Flyers when he died tragically in a car wreck early in the 1985-86 season. The Swedish superstar, who led the Flyers to the Stanley Cup final in the spring of 1985, used this early to mid-1980s CCM GCPX 101 gamer in NHL action with Philly. “Lindbergh” is stamped on the front of the shaft, which displays plenty of red goalpost paint transfer. Pelle’s original tape jobs remain on the knob, handle and blade, which is cracked at the toe and wrapped in several strands of orange tape, likely to repair/hold the cracked tip. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
More game use shows in wear to the bottom edge of the blade where the tape has worn through on the heel, black marks on the tape job on the blade, blue and red paint transfer on the white tape job on the handle above the paddle, and marks on the paddle.
