Playing four (4) of his six (6) years in the National Hockey League in the famed red, white and blue uniform of the Montreal Canadiens during the early-1990s, Paul DiPietro would hoist Lord Stanley's mug as a member of the Habs in 1993, scoring twice in the Cup clinching game 5 over the Los Angeles Kings. Originally gifted to DiPietro by Canadiens legend Maurice Richard and staying in his possession ever since, offered here is this custom "Maurice Richard - Legends of Hockey" varsity jacket owned by DiPietro. Made by Roots and featuring size "L" labeling affixed to the black satin quilted interior, the varsity style jacket features a wool construction body and leather sleeves with a snap style closure on the front. Decorated over the left breast with a Canadiens logo patch with a script crest over the right breast, both are done in a chenille style over blue felt while the reverse sports a large patch of The Rocket skating with the puck up ice in matching style with "Legends of Hockey" and "By Rocket" embroidered in white on either side. Sporting red, white and blue coloured cuffs at the bottom and at the end of each sleeve, the pockets display with leather accents as well while a Roots emblem graces the inner collar. Remaining in excellent condition with some manufacture aging to the leather of the sleeves and pockets. Hailing from DiPietro's personal collection, a copy of his original signed LOA will accompany the piece.
