Advancing to the Stanley Cup final in each of the franchise’s first three seasons of existence, the St Louis Blues joined the NHL in the expansion of 1967 that concluded the Original Six era. The Blues have won 10 Division championships thus far, along with a lone Stanley Cup, in 2019. From just the fourth season of St. Louis hockey, offered here is this Blues worn during the 1970-71 season by Norm Dennis. A heavyweight durene knit garment made by Rawlings, a brand label that displays a size "48" designation is sewn inside the reverse hem and is joined by additional washing and Giesler-Jorgen labels as well. Styled over the front with a classic Blues team crest fully administered in layered tackle twill, the sleeves and verso have had Dennis' number "25" sewn to them in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals. Sporting an intact loop style fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows light but solid wear including light stick marks over the reverse, lower front and left cuff, a red board paint transfer mark over the lower front, board burns/scrapes over the lower front and both sleeves, an unreapaired small hole in the left sleeve and team repairs over the left sleeve and reverse. Also sporting some pilling on the interior of the jersey, it is worth noting that a look inside the jersey shows a hem job that shortened the jersey up a bit and indicates it hails from the set of jerseys worn by the Blues during the 1970-71 season that was handed down to a local high-school to use which where then uncovered many years later along with thirty-four (34) other home and road shirts from the same year that were all in the collection of a former trainer.
