Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024

A product of the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack, Nick Suzuki was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft before being traded to Montreal on September 10th, 2018 prior to the 2018-19 NHL season. Having played every game of his NHL career in the famed bleu, blanc et rouge of the Habs thus far, Suzuki was named the 31st captain in Montreal's franchise history prior to the start of the 2022-23 campaign. Having only played in one (1) AHL game during his career as of this writing, offered here is this Chicago Wolves jersey worn by Suzuki on April 26th, 2018 against the Rockford IceHogs in the first round of the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs. Made by CCM, AHL/CCM and size "56" labeling is affixed to the inner collar while CCM (x2) and AHL crests have been added over the reverse neckline and hem respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Wolves team crest that features beautifully embroidered details throughout its entirety, matching alternate logo patches have been added over both shoulders while the sleeves and verso of the maroon coloured garment have been accented with Suzuki's number "7" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals. Having had "Suzuki" spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, it is worth noting that evidence of previously applied nameplates does exist at either end of the Suzuki one that is currently in place with players including Vince Dunn, Kenney Morrison and Nolan Valleau listed as also having worn the number during the year. Featuring its original fight strap on the interior as well as some very light pilling and numerous lose/frayed threads, the jersey exhibits good game-wear via many board burns over both sleeves, stick marks over the right sleeve, lower front and lower reverse, a small unrepaired hole over the left sleeve and a light white coloured board paint transfer on the reverse. Accompanied by a Wolves LOA, the jersey has been photo-matched with images from the April 26th game versus Rockford showing Suzuki wearing the jersey to board burns on both sleeves and the small unrepaired hole over the left sleeve/elbow.
