Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
A tempting and infrequent chance here to score such a quantity of NHL game pucks like the ones used during the 1969 to 1977 time frame, with all 20 franchises that have Converse (screened back) pucks present here. There's even a these-days-outta-sight-priced Penguins biscuit, joined by the other 1967 expansion teams, with "Oakland" representing the Seals. Rubber-crested team logos of the Original Six era squads, the early-'70s additions (Sabres, Canucks, Islanders, Flames) and the rest (Capitals, Scouts, Rockies, Barons) look fabulous in their "as-found" condition and could even be improved by those who like to clean them. Visible crazing in the Canadiens, Canucks, Capitals and Flames logos is to mention but all pucks are in beauty chip-free condition. A small hole in the side of most detract little from their display-ability, with further details available on our website.
The aforementioned small hole appears in the side, (at 12 o'clock), in all but the Sabres, Rockies and Barons and is the result of the original (and only) owner securing his favorite pucks that he displayed, in the days before puck "cubes". Screened-on back logos, overall, are in impressive condition.
