This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Old Madison Square Garden comes to mind with this lot that features a pair of Rangers nodders and a collection of eight ceramic tiles featuring the likenesses of early 1960s Blueshirts. Muzz Patrick is featured along with seven players on the 6" square white ceramic tiles. Screened color images of Gump Worsley, Harry Howell, Bronco Horvath, Dave Balon, Larry Cahan, Al Langlois and Vic Hadfield in action poses with artist H.M. Cowan’s name in small blue capital letters. Screenart Products Ltd., Made in Canada is stamped on the cork backing. A 1962 Rangers nodder with brown hair remains in good condition, with a "NEW YORK" decal sticker on the front of its base. To note are a small chip on the rear right corner of the base and tiny flecks on the front top of the base. The spring attachment inside the head is the original plaster and "1962" and the copyright symbol are stamped on the bottom of the base. An orange-haired tall nodder in excellent condition has a horizontal coin slot across the upper back of the white jersey with a Rangers crest log on the front and a black rubber plug in the bottom of the blue base.
