Marking the first appearance of a Canadian team in an NHL Stadium Series contest, the 2018 edition of the outdoor game saw the Toronto Maple Leafs face-off against the Washington Capitals at Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland in front of nearly 30,000 fans. Won by the hometown Capitals by a 5-2 final score, offered here is this Maple Leafs jersey worn during the second period of play by alternate captain, Morgan Rielly. Made by Adidas and featuring a band that displays both “Made in Canada” and size “58” designations over the inner collar, the front and reverse necklines of the jersey have been accented with NHL shield and Adidas crests respectively. Decorated over the front with a Maple Leafs team crest that has “Toronto Maple Leafs” and other details embroidered into it, the distinguished alternate captain’s “A” is affixed over the left breast while the all-important 2018 NHL Stadium Series event patch has been added over the right sleeve. Having had “Honour. Pride. Courage.” Embossed into the top blue stripe of the left sleeve, the shoulders and verso have had Rielly’s number “44” sewn to them in single layer blue tackle twill numbers while “Rielly” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate while a “2” has been penned to the fight strap on the interior to denote the jersey as being from the 2nd set. Having been worn for just a single period of play, the jersey remains in beautiful condition and shows just very light wear via a trio of board burns over the left sleeve. Showcasing a Fanatics Game Worn patch numbered “WDCSS1027” sewn inside the reverse hem, a matching Leafs LOA will accompany the piece.
