Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/9/2016
Red, white and BLUE! The color scheme of the seats at the old Montreal Forum reflected the famous team colors as evidenced by this single blue seat, which was removed from the famous arena’s upper level after the final game was played there on March 11, 1996. The original number “12” remains stencil painted in white on the seatback, a number that has been retired for two Habs legends, Yvan Cournoyer and the late Dickie Moore. Added to the seatback are a CH decal and the seat number and the row and section where it was located. All set for display with sturdy aluminum-alloy footing included. Comes with a Canadiens COA and documentation about the seat assembly kit.
The seat stands 34” tall set up as is with the sturdy footing. There is a bit of bare wood where the blue paint wore off at the bottom of the seatback, and the 14” wide padded seat has a few dents to the metal underside that display the character of this unforgettable hockey shrine.
