Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Combining to win a total of forty-two (42) Stanley Cup championships throughout their storied careers as players with all but one (1) won while wearing the famed red, white and blue colours of the Montreal Canadiens, the likes of Maurice and Henri Richard, Jean Beliveau, Yvan Cournoyer and Guy Carbonneau would all end up being inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame at the end of their playing days. Offered here, we present this collection of five single-signed sticks autographed by Maurice and Henri Richard, Jean Beliveau, Yvan Cournoyer and Guy Carbonneau. All full sized wooden offerings made by Sher-Wood, each has had the signing player's name stamped over the upper shaft except for the stick signed by "The Rocket", Maurice Richard, which is a different model twig entirely. All void of tape over their handles/knobs and blades though it appears as though blade tape may have been in place at one time based on the dark marks and evidence of residue that exists. Having been signed by each player over the forehand side of their respective blades with either black or blue marker ink signatures that display without issue to speak of, the sticks themselves all remain in excellent condition overall with intact accent stickers over the bottom of each shaft and only light handling wear present throughout. All hailing from the personal collection of former WHA and NHL referee Ron Fournier, a Classic Auctions LOA will accompany the lot.
