Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
The jubilation of a third Stanley Cup Championship in Edmonton is represented in this jewelled work of art presented to long-time NHLer Moe Lemay. A trio of large real diamonds encircled by smaller gem stones is surrounded by the words "1987 Stanley Cup Champions" on the face of this stunning ring. The enamelled logo of the Edmonton Oilers is prominently featured on the left shank with "Lemay" and "23" above and below. The opposing shank proudly lists the team's Championship seasons engraved onto three raised Cups with the motivational image of the carrot. The interior of the band is stamped with the 14K assayer’s marking. Size 10, near excellent condition with a small area of enamel loss in the team logo. From the personal collection of Moe Lemay with his signed letter of authenticity.
