Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

The London Knights of the OHL were Mitch Marner’s junior hockey road to the Toronto Maple Leafs and the NHL. Marner’s 2013-14 game-worn third jersey from a Memorial Cup season has been reviewed by an expert on London Knights jerseys, who gave it his thumbs-up and confirmed that the jersey is 100 percent good. This style was worn only in six games in the second half of Marner’s rookie season in London, and though the accompanying LOA states that it was worn during the Memorial Cup, it was not. The interior pilling is consistent with Marner as is the size 54 fly tag below the CHL Reebok tagging in the collar. Game wear includes marks on the right rear hem below the CHL patch.
These are the six dates that Marner wore the Knights black alternate jersey during the 2013-14 OHL season:
Jan. 16, 2014 (vs. Kitchener), Jan. 17 (vs. Saginaw), Feb. 8 (vs. Erie), March 6 (vs. Sault Ste. Marie), March 7 (vs. Kitchener), and March 14 (vs. Owen Sound).
Comes with a loose Memorial Cup patch. These Memorial Cup patches were added after the season on the green and black jerseys of active players, all heat-pressed on. This one was affixed to the left breast, which has adhesive residue remnants. After this jersey was purchased the patch eventually just fell off the jersey.
