Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Another banner year in Motown, the 1993-94 Detroit Red Wings finished first in the NHL in scoring and first in their conference with a record of 46-30-8. This Red Wings jersey was worn by Mike Sillinger that very season. With East Side and CCM tagging in collar, there’s also a size 52 fly tag present, with the team stamp on the inner hem. Additional embroidered CCM and NHL crests sit on the bottom hem, while the fight strap remains intact. Styled in attractive tackle twill with a gorgeous winged-wheel team crest, the back letters have been sewn directly onto the jersey.
Game-use includes a number of stick marks on the lower front, both sleeves and over the team crest. There is also some light staining to mention on the left sleeve’s striping band and number. In beautiful condition and exhibiting nice use, this sweater from another great year in Hockeytown should attract good interest.
