The purest goal scorer in NHL history, with his goals-per-game total unmatched, Mike Bossy was the driving force behind the New York Islanders iconic early-1980s Stanley Cup dynasty. Winning the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1982 and enshrined into the hallowed halls of the Hall of Fame in 1991, offered here is this stick used by Bossy during the early portion of his in the late-1970s, circa 1979. A Titan made offering that sports the brand's familiar red and white colourway, a bold and dark "M. Bossy" is stamped over the upper shaft while a partially smudged "22" is penned in blue marker ink above it. Retaining its original tape job of black around the handle/knob as well as around the entirety of the blade as well, the stick is void of a date stamp on the underside of the lower shaft as Titan's of this era did not have one. Also having had "Made in Canada" stamped over the top side of the lower shaft, the twig shows game-wear via a number of black marks throughout the length of the shaft as well as over the lower shaft and heel areas on both sides. Also showing wear via tears to the blade tape, a few rings of the tape have come loose from drying out because of age. Of note, a large crack is observed on the underside of the blade with the blade also cracked/broken near the heel.
