Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Bringing Lord Stanley’s famous trophy back to the NHL’s oldest city after an absence of almost three decades, legendary superstar Bobby Orr achieved immortality with his epic “flying” overtime winner in Game 4 of the 1970 Stanley Cup finals, leading the Boston Bruins to the promise land while vanquishing Glenn Hall and the St Louis Blues. This extremely rare and utterly desirable ticket stub hails from the historic May 10th contest and has recently been graded by PSA as VG 3 (MK), and serves as the HIGHEST GRADED OF ONLY TWO TICKET STUBS IN THE PSA POPULATION REPORT (the other example is graded GD 2). At approx 1 ¼” X 1 ½”, “7” is listed as this was the 7th home game for the Beantowners during the postseason, with handwritten text on the reverse stating “5/10/70” and “Stanley Cup”. The front of the ticket displays beautifully, with just a rough torn edge. We should stress the importance of this scarce treasure, having served as witness to one of the greatest and most famous feats of arguably the best player to ever live.
